How to create and associate a Shared Repository?
'To create a shared repository follow the below steps:
1. Open QTP Object Repository (OR), by navigating --> "Resources->Object Repository" or using a shortcut "Ctrl + R"
2. Add the desired objects using "Add Objects to Local" icon or "Object->Add Objects to Local" option in OR.
3. In OR window, go to "File->Export Local Objects.." to export or say save the OR, to the desired folder.
'How to associate a Shared OR to the test?
1. In QTP Menu bar, go to "Resources-Associate Repositories..", to see the "Associate Repositories" window.
2. In the "Associate Repositories" window, click "+" icon and browse the desired .tsr file (OR file) to be associated.
3. In the "Available Actions" pane, you'll see all the Actions in your Test, ex: Action1, Action2 etc
4. Select the Action to which you want to associate the repository and click ">" icon (or double click the Action) to see it under "Associated Actions" pane.
You may also click ">>" to associate the OR to all available Actions.
Similarly if by mistake you associate the OR to a wrong Action, you may select that Action and click "<" icon to de-associate it
You may associate a respository from "Resources->Object Repository", In OR window go to "Tools-Associate Repositories.." and continue from Step-2 of "Associate Repositories"

4. Select the Action to which you want to associate the repository and click ">" icon (or double click the Action) to see it under "Associated Actions" pane.
You may also click ">>" to associate the OR to all available Actions.
Similarly if by mistake you associate the OR to a wrong Action, you may select that Action and click "<" icon to de-associate it
You may associate a respository from "Resources->Object Repository", In OR window go to "Tools-Associate Repositories.." and continue from Step-2 of "Associate Repositories"
